Bensko's First 48

Some friends of mine had just had a baby. I went to visit them in the hospital with my camera, and as a gift to them I started taking pictures of them interacting with their new baby. The situation just lent itself so beautifully to the genre of photojournalism. I created a slideshow presentation and emailed it to them the next day. They had Internet access right there in their hospital room, and were so excited that they sent it out to everyone they knew. Almost immediately, their friends and family started asking about the photographer. Is she a professional who would do something like that for us? How can we can we get a service like this?

Thus was "born" my First 48 program.

Infant Pictures—When You Need Them

I arrive at the hospital within 48 hours of your child’s birth and document you with your newborn onsite. I post an online slideshow the following day, and places the full set of images in a Web gallery for viewing and ordering. You get a 5x5 keepsake coffee table album within two weeks. For an extra fee, I produce customized birth announcements, which begin production as soon as the you select your favorites image.
